If Queen's were to organize a karate tournament the following outlines the most approriate divisions.


MENS KATA
  • White belt
  • Yellow and Orange belt
  • Green belt
  • Brown belt

WOMENS KATA
  • White belt
  • Yellow and Orange belt
  • Green belt
  • Brown belt

YOUTH KATA
  • White belt
  • Yellow and Orange belt
  • Green belt
  • Brown belt

BLACK BELT KATA (Men, Women, Youth together)

MENS SHIAI
  • White belt
  • Yellow and Orange belt
  • Green belt
  • Brown belt
  • Black belt

WOMENS SHIAI
  • White belt
  • Yellow and Orange belt
  • Green belt
  • Brown belt
  • Black belt

YOUTH SHIAI
  • White belt
  • Yellow and Orange belt
  • Green belt
  • Brown belt
  • Black belt


*NOTE: If there are not enough participants in a division, it may be reorganized as follows:
- Beginner (White)
- Intermediate (Yellow and Orange)
- Advanced (Green and Brown)


The YOUTH Division may be also reorganized depending upon the age ranges of the participants as follows :
YOUTH - Pee Wee (under 6)
YOUTH - Bantam (7 - 9)
YOUTH - Junior (10 -12)
YOUTH - Teen (13 - 17)


 KATA requires 5 Judges

 SHIAI requires 2 corner Judges and 1 center Referee, 1 Timekeeper and 1 or 2 Scorekeepers
